Upgrading CUPS-1.4.4 to 1.5 on slack-12.2.0

Hello all,

I was wondering if there is anything to upgrading to the latest version of CUPS on slackware(12.2.0). I've downloaded the .tgz of the latest release, but there isn't any information I've come across about upgrading on an already working system. I don't just build the new source code and it replaces the old stuff do I?

</noob>

Thanks!
