unblable to reset password for mysql


hi,

i forgot mysql password. so i tried to reset using

mysqld_safe --skip-grant-tables

but in sql unable to set password, it says need privileges,
when i try to flush privileges it says YOU NEED RELOD PRIVILEGES
same thing for every command. says i need to be super user.

i reinstalled, then also im unable to login

still im a root user.

pelase help me.
