Unable to patch RHEL7.3 after removing old kernel
 

Hi folks,
I have tried removing the old kernels using - yum remove old-kernel-<version> since I didn't have enough free space under /boot.
Post removing old kernel, now I am unable to patch server.Kindly help.

You're using RHEL Enterprise 7.3...do you have a paid subscription? And have you tried contacting RHEL support, since you're a subscribed user?

Beyond that, you have posted one command; you haven't posted anything else, the results of that command, what else you've done/tried, what you're seeing, etc. We cannot guess...read the "Question Guidelines" link in my posting signature. Your best course of action is to use the support from Red Hat that you've paid for.

Please refer the attached error while yum update.After selecting "y" the window doesnt stops checking packages in repositories.

This left me buffled since it continued for more than an hour before I ran ctrl+c.

Again: you are having problems with Red Hat Enterprise and their repositories. Unless you have a subscription, you *WILL NOT* be able to do anything with the online repositories. So contact Red Hat support for help.

And you still haven't shown the commands you've typed....a small screen-shot tells us nothing.

Yes, that is the 'ultimate solution' when you're asking about how to update **FROM RED HAT REPOSITORIES**.

AGAIN: unless you have a subscription (either free or paid), you **DO NOT** have access to those things. And AGAIN, you have not told us ANYTHING about what you're doing/typing, and seem to just ignore the requests for information. If you want people to try to help you, then answer the simple questions you've been asked. Otherwise, use the support you should be paying for.
