Trying to set up a LVM partition combining two drives. EVMS error. (FSIM returned 1)

I've been trying to set up a LVM partition to link my two 20gig and 40 gig hard drives together for my MythTV program storage drive.

I post this here because I figure the server guys would deal with this more.

I discovered EVMS, as Kubuntu didn't have the option to create LVM partitions.

I've formatted my 2 partitions on the drive as Linux LVM paritions. I created a driving linking feature object, which put a volume called "television" in the volumes tab. I go to make a file system and get this error.

FSIM plug-in Ext2/3 returned error code 1 when called to mkfs on volume /dev/evms/Television

How do I fix this?

Huh?
Code:
sudo fdisk

LVM partitions have the code 8e AFAIR. Then mkfs / tune2fs. I never heard of EVMS, so I can't help there but here is something about LVM:

http://tldp.org/HOWTO/LVM-HOWTO/
http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/doc...O.html#lvm2faq
http://search.novell.com/qfsearch/Se...ion=&query=lvm

In short, you have to create volume group, physical volume and logical volume. Only then change /etc/fstab...
