Tool To Monitor Logfiles ?


Hey All
I am using RHEL 3, I want to install a tool that monitors log files for critical errors and or intrusion detections ..serious faults..etc..and then sends me emails with alerts
I wonder if anyone has had some experience witch such a utility ?
Any suggestions please ?
