Testing of clamd service is working or not - reg


Hi every one,
This is ajith from chennai. I am a new member of this forum. Happy to join with you all.

We are running qmail mail server in redhat 5.4. Clamd service is also running with qmail service. my question is how to know that the clamd service is working?

Please help me for this doubt. I have attached the log file here.

If the service is running then 'service clamd status', or pgrep clamd' should return the process Id. Depending on how you configured it clamd, clamscan or whatever else components may also log to syslog or their own log files in /var/log. Best review their manual pages for generating verbose output for debugging purposes if you want that.

* Also please note you're running behind: RHEL is at 5U7 now.
