System Hung Process Checking


Is there any method that we can used to check what is the job and user that cause the system overload and hung, after the machine already freeze and rebooted?

If you didn't deploy a collection tool before the freeze and reboot or else if the kernel didn't report (OOM killer), no, probably not. You'll want some form of sar, like Atop (C) or Dstat (Python). You maybe also could do with remote stats checking using Nagios or something that reads SNMP if installed, or a local one like Monit.

Thanks a lot...atop is really a nice tools..i will study more on it...it can help me to idenity which user is causing the system highload...
