sync outlook .pst file offline/online in windows7

iam using centos 5 for samba file server...i need to sync outlook file .pst with fileserver.iam able to sync all other data with fileserver.but getting problem in .pst file.in Account setting of outlook i had given storing path to my samba server.iam able to sync online but not able to sync offline.when i disconnect the pc with network outlook gives error.it didnot get the .pst file to open mail.

can any one know step for offline and online sync .pst file in windows 7 and also in windows xp

As I Remember it, you can rightclick on the network target and select "make available offline", or something similar.
Also I believe that XP and Win7 have some differences in howto do this. Else try to google it. There should be plenty of hits.
