I am using sendmail, with a SMART_HOST mail.twc.com (Spectrum). Shortly after midnight last night, my sendmail server could no longer connect to mail.twc.com.
I have two other Linux computers and a Windows 10 computer on my LAN, all using the same public IP address. All these other computers connect just fine to the relay:
Code:
$ telnet 47.43.26.4 25
Trying 47.43.26.4...
Connected to 47.43.26.4.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 p-impout002.msg.pkvw.co.charter.net cmsmtp ESMTP server ready
But the computer running the sendmail server cannot:
Code:
# telnet mail.twc.com 25
Trying 47.43.26.4...
telnet: connect to address 47.43.26.4: Network is unreachable
My maillog has:
Code:
May 24 09:21:06 server sm-mta[32635]: 24O6ngCJ017873: to=<user@mydom.org>, ctladdr=<mfoley@novatec-inc.com> (101/200), delay=06:31:24, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=relay, pri=1800680, relay=mail.twc.com., dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred: mail.twc.com.: Network is unreachable
... and likewise for any emails I've set since losing this connection.
I've powered down and restarted computer, router and modem. I've turned off the firewall. I've restarted sendmail. Nothing seems to help.
This is my only means of getting email, so I'm pretty much dead in the water at the moment.
Any other ideas on why the mail.twc.com network would be unreachable?
