Plz mention an example step by step procedure for adding a PLUGIN in Cacti.

And also plz mention what does a PLUGIN serve in Cacti ?

I am a newbie to cacti please consider my silly questions.

There are no silly questions but when you expect step by step guides from LQ users, that's asking a lot. LQ users are not in the habit to offer step by step guides or copy/paste howtos. Did you do a Google search for what yo need? I don't think so because the first link Google offers is this one:

which is exactly what you're looking for if you ask me.
