startx error

I just rent a dedicated server is a data center, I start to setup KDE on this server so I'll be able to connect to server via VNC but after installation of necessary rpms, I got this errors while running startx command
X Error: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) 8
Major opcode: 156
Minor opcode: 6
Resource id: 0x5d
Getting adapter list failed: The name org.bluez was not provided by any .service files

I've installed KDE on many of servers in that data center but this one got me many erros,

I'm assuming you're using a RedHat distribution from the mention of rpms, so have you checked that bluez is installed?

You should be able to use:

Code:
rpm -qa | grep -i bluez

What version of xorg-server are you using? You mentioned this was for a datacenter machine, does that mean it's a headless box?

Yes, it's a datacenter machine but it has onboard VGA,
It seems that I've no xorg-server on server
rpm -q xorg-server
package xorg-server is not installed

strange is yum said there's no xorg-server package to install

The data center may prevent you from installing certain software easily. But how are you trying to start your GUi session is it fromt he command line , that won't work over SSH, or telnet, you will need to X forward or put the kde startup in your vnc prefs then log on using VNC.

Do you think if I use original repositories of CentOS this would be solved?

I would think so. On my CentOS installs I did a test to see if I could find that package. Seems that RedHat and CentOS name the packages xorg-x11-*. Do a yum search for xorg and you'll see what I mean and hopefully have your X installed shortly after.

Regards,

Alunduil
