Starting Xinetd


hey guys when xinetd is configured on your system what would now happen to the other daemons? will they still run when xinetd is running and they are configured on it? or will they automaticallys stop and just w8 when xinetd calls them.

Xinetd only manages the ports and services that it is configured to, and modern services don't use xinetd. Even if your distribution installs it by default, the chances are that it does nothing whatsoever.
