Starting MySQL daemon error

Hello guys, I have problem with installing and running mysql-server on CentOS 6 x86_64.
First of all I installed mysql with:

Code:

sudo yum install mysql mysql-server

Then I tried to configure it:

Code:

sudo chkconfig mysqld on

and to start mysqld I ran:

Code:

sudo service mysqld start

Code:

MySQL Daemon failed to start.
Starting mysqld:                                           [FAILED]

When I run just "$mysql" an error occurred:

Code:

mysql: relocation error: mysql: symbol strmov, version libmysqlclient_16 not defined in file libmysqlclient.so.16 with link time reference

I reinstalled the package, but the result was the same. Could anyone help me?

I guess installing mysql-lib package could solve your problem

#sudo yum install mysql-libs
