SSL Certificate / domain name is not registered in CA

Hi,
during enroll/requesting of SSL certificate I get rejection with message:
Code:
The certificate request for my.localfqdn.net was rejected because the domain name is not registered in SwissSign.
Is the problem with FQDN that is known only by local/internal DNS or this is something to do with CA?
Can anyone point out what is my problem here?

This looks like a commercial SSL service (and from a quick look their prices are HIGH!) so why not ask them as you're paying for it?

Basically for any SSL cert to be issued the CA needs to verify your entitlement to use the domain they are signing a cert for.

At a guess, they are doing only basic validation for the cert by looking up the domain and then trying to send to webmaster@ for the requested domain.
