Exclamation sshd, dhcpd failed during update and corrupt all my conf RHEL 4, OS die

Hai i'm newbie here.

I want to install commercial software in my server(cluster), but the installation need me to update my RHEL4, i update using GUI and restart and after that, cannot invoke the GUI, so i only can use level 3, i still update using yum update and up2date, then it come out with all errors including sshd, wget i think all RPM are missing. Could you guys help me? i cannot uninstall current os because all commercial software are connect to that as master node?

can i repair the os using cd?

You didn't follow the rules ...
1. Before any upgrade, make a backup of your config
2. Before any update on a critical server, test your update on a clone
3. Automate your change to avoid missing actions

Well, now it's time to buy mechanical soap (with sand), you 'll need it after diving your hands in a greasy space.

Have a look, in /etc/ssh, you probably have a copy of your config, same for /etc/dhcpd.conf
