ssh question.

Guys,

I have seen many devices where there are two different type of accesses available. For example, root access & admin access, where root gets the full access to Unix prompt (just like root user on any RedHat like distribution) however, admin user manages the web portal from where the device can be configured etc... ++ if you use that admin user on for ssh, he wont get the regular unix prompt. All he gets is a customized prompt where he can run a few limited commands/scripts etc.

does anyone have any idea on how its done??

Thanks in advance.

I don't understand what you don't understand? The accounts have nothing in common whatsoever. The web interface is authentication with accounts however that web interface is configured to and then performs actions accordingly.
