SSH - cannot find name for group ID 1010

I am getting this error with ssh authentication using auto with private kyes

this is a centos 5.3 server

Quote:
id: cannot find name for group ID 1010
If I log on as root it works fine

here are the permissions for group file

Quote:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 632 Aug 10 10:20 group
I tried google and have not come up with much

I am able to login successful without prompting for a password but would like to get rid of that error

Thanks
