squid3 use only RAM

hi, we have huge party-picture site (3000+ ppl online browsing pictures).

I have installed 3 squid proxys (each 24GB ram) and 4+ IPs to round-robin the traffice for the browsers.

I analyzed the logs and still have a lot of "TCP_HIT" in it. Meaning there are still a lot of HDD hits, especially small always-used png, gif, css, js. The HDD of the Squids are very slow.

How can i tell squid3 to use ONLY 20GB of memory for caching, no more HDD?
Is that possible?

Here is my current config:

http_port 80 accel
cache_peer parent 80 0 no-query originserver name=static
acl our_sites dstdomain
cache_peer_access static allow our_sites
acl from_all src
http_access allow our_sites from_all
#http_access deny all ##########weiter unten! nach acl all ################
cache_mem 20480 MB
maximum_object_size 1024 KB
maximum_object_size_in_memory 1 KB
ipcache_size 2048
cache_dir ufs /var/spool/squid3 1024 16 128

Thank You.
