Squid - Track Users Activities - 1 Month Log

Hi all,

I'm new to squid, but i need to know when running squid in Linux, the file generated by squid will be /var/log/squid/access.log right?

I understand this file is generated everyday, if i were to keep the log files up to 1 month, can i extract the information from this log where i want to track each user's net surfing activities by daily?

If can, can you briefly explain what should i be aware of? Like, can i use only perl to retrieve these information? Because i need to generate a log file if possible via HTML format??

Or could i use any other tools/programs to retrieve those information?

The tracking should web based and if possible i could track by user, web sites or other choices...

Please advice, thanks a million!

regards,
Skywalker
