Squid to Block websites in perticular IP Address in LAN
Hello Sir,
i need help from any one configured Linux Squid in office for block websites for perticular system (host) or Ip address of LAN Network.

You can block any site by help of Dans Guardian , or by editing that pc's host file........
May be this will help u.

I don't want block all internet access in that particular ip but i need to block some sites int that ip like Allow access : yahoo.com, google.com, Deny Access :rediffmail.com, microsoft.com,hotmail.com and all other chatting .
please help.

We've given you the answer in the links posted previously. Setting up a Squid ACL isn't difficult, have you bothered to try to read the documentation??

I have configured its working now but the problem is try to connect any FTP site to update users file it won't connect some hand shake error is coming.
any one can help.

We might be able to help, if you bothered to give us some details. Things like WHAT error you're getting, where/when you're getting it, etc.
And you do realize that Squid is an HTTP proxy....FTP isn't something it does well, if at all....

Finally i tried and configured FTP access through Squid using the acl.

i try to connect FTP using Fire FTP tool in Firefox , i changed option to proxy server 192.168.2.50 with port 3128 using HTTP
The connection is not enabled. if i remove the HTTP proxy in Fire FTP it will connect using router ip , when i check squid access log /var/squid/access.log their is no entry for accessing FTP connection.
also in my CENTOS server vsftpd service also cannot start, i am getting FAIILED message
please help.
