Squid Proxy Server

Does anyone have any suggestions or comments about Squid proxy server for a medium sized company. Is it difficult to install or maintain? I know it's freeware, but money is not an issue, ease of use is what I am looking for. Thanks.

That's a negatory. Trivial to install (depending on your distro and its package management). Easy-to-Intermediate to maintain, depending on what you're trying to do exactly.

There is extensive documentation here: http://www.squid-cache.org/Doc/

That's where I would start.

Mucho grasias amigo. This is going to be used for work, we are being carved out of a larger division and have to get our own everything. With this project I'll be working to also setup a DMZ and VPN. We have about 85 users.

You can find 2 tutorials on my site about configuring squid. There are few important settings in the whole config file.

Andy
