Squid Proxy Redirect to captive portal

Hello LQ,

I have RHEL5 based Squid Proxy Server, which is responsible to provide Internet connectivity in "Non-Transparent" mode.

Now, we have established campus wi-fi network with a centralized Wi-Fi Controller. All Wi-Fi based user authentication will be accomplished by RADIUS Server.

Now, After successful laptop/mobile/tablet Wi-Fi authentication, if user tries to access internet thru. SQUID, first they should be redirected to captive portal for authentication.

End User's laptop/mobile/tablet devices have proxy IP & Port in their browser because Proxy is working in "Non-Transparent" mode. As per the existing IT Policy, I can't remove Proxy IP & Port setting from browser.

So, I would like to get proxy redirection policy in Squid Server.

You've been working with squid for SIX YEARS now....are you not familiar with the squid documentation?
http://wiki.squid-cache.org/Features/Redirectors

...which have complete information and examples?
