squid + ldap or squidguard + ldap or both ??

my squid already work with LDAP..
and now i want to add on squidguard for filtering, but i found that squidguard also have LDAP authentication .. should i do authentication again in the squidguard.conf ?

or i only need the ldap authentication config in squid.conf ? or both side is needed ?

as i refer the website http://www.squidguard.org/Doc/authentication.html which is very less information for ldapusersearch .
