Squid dns problem

Hi, I'm pretty new to squid but I got it working know. I don't know if this is a dns problem or what, but I'll describe it nevertheless.

If I disable squid and type in firefox "youtube" for example, the browser will automatically go to youtube.com (it seems to search on google first). The problem with squid is that it fail instantaneously.

Quote:
While trying to retrieve the URL: http://youtube/

The following error was encountered:

Unable to determine IP address from host name for youtube

The dnsserver returned:

Name Error: The domain name does not exist.
How can I fix this? I'm using dnsmasq as a dns caching server too.

Thanks

It seems to be fixed now, after configuring squid as a transparent proxy... weirdness
