Squid,Dansguardian and Anti-Virus

The other day I though that having just a proxy prohibiting most sites and extentions from being downloaded, a decent anti-virus on the client pc's would handle most issues with virus, trojans and etc. but realize that things can still slip past. Can someone point me in the right direction for adding an anti virus to Squid or Dansguardian?

squidclam would intercept everything that squid caches, and scan for viruses and malware through clamav/clamd which you need as well.
Squidclam entry is added to the squid.conf file as a "redirect program".
With clamd and dazuko (a kernel module, nowadays direct patch to be compiled in) you may
also do on-access scanning for (configurable) folders - which is good for downloads.
