Squid Cache Hierarchy and no-query option

Hello

I've worked with squid before but I don't have good experience with how to configure squid cache hierarchies. I'd like to build a hierarchy of 2 or 3 TProxy squid servers to be used in the ISP I work for with http requests being Destination-NATed to them in a load-balanced fashion. What is the best hierarchy to use for this? One parent and two siblings, or all siblings?

Another question, I found some examples online using the following:
cache_peer parent.example.com parent 3128 0 no-query

I can't understand the "no-query" option! Squid documentation mentions that no-query can be used to "Disable ICP queries to this neighbor". I'm wondering if ICP queries are disabled, how would a squid hierarchy work?!

Sorry if my questions don't look so smart and thanks for your help!

Regards,
Firas
