squid

Dear All,

I need to configure one squid proxy server. That does not having any direct internet access.
Mean while i am having another proxy (not squid) listening on 8002 port.
So i need to setup the new squid proxy to redirect it queries to the old proxy server.

Can someone tell to how to do this..

Thanks,

you'll want to check out the cache_peer directive: http://www.visolve.com/squid/squid30...php#cache_peer and also ensure that direct connections are not allowed with the never_direct directive: http://www.visolve.com/squid/squid30...p#never_direct

Hi

I have added the following lines in the squid.conf file

But still its not working

cache_peer 192.168.44.250 parent 8002 3130 default
acl ournetwork src 192.168.44.0/24
http_access allow ournetwork

The 192.168.44.250 Symantec Web security Proxy is running on solaris 9.
