slow samba possible fix

My samba server was dog slow and making large cpu loads.
I checked my smb.conf inside and out and and tried all kinds of settings. Even esoteric stuff. Nothing worked.
Samba was still super slow and using lots of CPU.
Samba was thrashing the cpu from 0% to 70% when copying files.

Then I went into the kernel and removed all samba stuff from the kernel. Recompiled the kernel, and voila!
Samba really motors now!
No CPU load either.
Like less than 1%!
