Slackware running Horde/Imp Frontend address book issue

Hi I have a e-mail server running Slackware, sendmail backend, horde/imp frontend, sophos puremessage miller and winbind samba authentication. the address books + prefs are stored by horde and turba in a mysql database.

The man who set up this server has left the company and I am now trying to get the hang of it although I am a complete Linux newbie, my issue at the moment is that his replacement needs adding into the addressbook but as he is an administrator on the 2003 windows server his e-mail address does not automatically get added into the main address book on the e-mail system (normal staff members address are automatically added when there e-mail address is put into the general information in active directory). I think that the man who created the system used to add admin e-mail adddresses into a database on the server manually but I have no idea how to do this and am unable to contact him, does anyone have any idea how I might go about doing this?

thanks in advance

Hi,

Welcome to LQ!

I'd have a look whether the guy who set you up with that
server also installed phpmyadmin. If he did you should be
able to look at the structure and table content of the
MySQL DB and hopefully see where/how to add the new guy.

Alternatively, have a read on the doco for horde, or which
ever part is the actual core behind the lot.

Either way - I'm moving this to the Server subforum, much
better suited for the thread.

Cheers,
Tink
