Trixbox is a softpbx system if you have SIP based either hardphone or softphone, it can be use with Trixbox as your PBX system. If you want to terminate the calls to ordinary lane lines or mobile phones you need fxo cards.

Thanks for your reply

Im going to used in the client are both softphone and hardphone and my server is trixbox

So i will need to buy FXO card so that i can able to use hardphone

meaning if i use softphone(xlite) to call them then it will ring on both softphone and hardphone
is this correct?

thanks

Nope. if you want to terminate calls from SIP phone to PSTN lines(like lane phones) or mobile phone, you need fxo module cards, Just make SIP to SIP no need fxo modules card(it means sip phone to sip phone, it could be either softphone or hardphone with sip support)
