Question single command file transfer


I was wondering if there's such a command that will sftp and transfer a file in a single line of command? Sorry if I sound repetitve it's late where I am lol I was just wondering if there exists something like that already before I start writing up my own little program. Thanks for reading guys!

That's what sftp does. What am I missing about your question?

Try scp instead of sftp.

Just for reference, you may find rsync useful one of these days too.

Linux admins use Rsync in what way mostly? As a tool for backup?
