Question Simple yum Question installing SASL

I'm new to using yum...

When viewing my list of installed yum modules, cyrus-sasl is installed:

Code:
$ yum list cyrus*
Installed Packages
cyrus-sasl.i386                                            2.1.22-5.el5_4.3                                    installed
cyrus-sasl.x86_64                                          2.1.22-5.el5_4.3                                    installed
cyrus-sasl-devel.i386                                      2.1.22-5.el5_4.3                                    installed
cyrus-sasl-devel.x86_64                                    2.1.22-5.el5_4.3                                    installed
cyrus-sasl-lib.i386                                        2.1.22-5.el5_4.3                                    installed
cyrus-sasl-lib.x86_64                                      2.1.22-5.el5_4.3                                    installed
cyrus-sasl-plain.i386                                      2.1.22-5.el5_4.3                                    installed
cyrus-sasl-plain.x86_64                                    2.1.22-5.el5_4.3                                    installed
I need to have sasl with with auxprob mysql, so I tried installing it like this:

Code:
yum install cyrus-sasl-sql
The installation went fine and now this shows up in the list of installed packages:

Code:
$ yum list cyrus*
...
cyrus-sasl-sql.i386                                        2.1.22-5.el5_4.3                                    installed
cyrus-sasl-sql.x86_64                                      2.1.22-5.el5_4.3                                    installed
Problem is, when I probe for the sql auxprop plugin, it does not show up:

Code:
$ pluginviewer -a
sasldb
List of auxprop plugins follows
Plugin "sasldb" , API version: 4
        supports store: yes
I tried rebooting but it still doesn't show sql.

What am I doing wrong?

Even if pluginviewer doesn't show it as being present, have you checked to see whether it actually works ?

No, but that's what I'll have to do.

It'll take several hours to put a system together to test it.
