Show full directory size in proftpd?
Hi everyone!
My first post so I hope this is the right place for this question. Also, sorry my english is a bit rusty. I run proftpd 1.3.0 on Slackware 11 kernel 2.4.33.3. When I connect to the ftp I would like to see the full size of a directory (all of its content instead of the space the directory itself takes up). In glftpd, all i had to do was adding a line to the conf file I think. I've googled but without luck and I fear the only solution is to involve some kind of directory cache. Do you have any idea? Thanks in advance. |
Welcome to the board!
I am a little confused. When I connect to an FTP server running ProFTP, I issue the command ls or dir to get a file listing. The ls command will accept options, example ls -l Does this answer your question? Steve |
Thanks for your reply.
I get the dirlist (from LIST) and know there are some options. But the issue is that the dirlist shows directory sizes as like 4KB for each directory. Instead, I would like to see the size of the directory and all of its content. When i send 'list -h', all sizes shows (of directories, not files) as just '0' while 'list -l' gives me '4KB'. Any ideas? Thanks |
I don't know the answer to your question, so I looked for it. This was the closest info I could find here on the proftpd website. This is a list of all the ProFTPD list options you can set.
