Sheduled daily backup in linux


Automatic Daily backup of Data

- Automatic deletion of Backup data which are more than a week old.

- Clearing of all data and restoration of Data from backup

Can any one help me on this how to take sheduled daily backup in linux.
These sheduled daily backup should be done by the commands.I searched in google i but i was not clear.

You can do it by a cron job.

What backup method do you want to use?
A simple google search will give you some pointers.

Create a script to do what you want, then put the script in a cronjob.

If you'd rather use a quick qui I've been using fwbackups for a few years now to backup my backup server. It works well for a single system, but I wouldn't want to manage many systems with it (thus why it only backups the backup server).
