service named cant start error in named.conf file

i install cent os 5.2 . i chang setting and now not working named.conf file.. so i want remove that named file and how to insatll new named.conf file.. plssssssssss help....

Perhaps you could post your named.conf so we can point out what the problem is? You'll probably learn more by correcting your mistakes then by simply reinstalling the package...

Just do the following:

find / | grep -i named.checkconf

It'll tell you where the script is located.

Then run it as:

> <path to script>/named.checkconf <path to your conf file>/named.conf

It'll spit out a verbose error message on where your problem is.
