All that ping proves is that the box is connected and running.

Can you post the output of the following command please?
Code:
iptables -nvL

Are the services running?
ps -ef |grep ssh
ps -ef |grep http or ps -ef |grep apache

Please post the output between [code] and [/code] (the so-called code tags)

If they aren't then you will need to log into the console and start the services, or, worse case, power cycle the server manually and see if the services will come back up then -- when 9 out of 10 times they usually do

Thank you for the answer.
Console stops responding.
But Ping is responding.

Best regards,

Are you saying that with physical access (sitting behind the machine) you can't get in? Or that, because ssh is not working, you can't get in?

If the latter, you need to get physical access.

Best regards,
Everytime this happens to me, I find a reboot is the only cure.
