Server froze after running fio tests on ubuntu server 13.10

Hi all,

Im currently working on my bachelor thesis in data and network administration and my ubuntu server (13.10) crashed (froze) during the fio tests I was running.

This happened after about an hour of running the test, the syslog gave me these messages:

Code:
Mar 4 12:55:06 puddy kernel: [12809.900750] [<c162df8b>] error_code+0x67/0x6c
Mar 4 12:55:06 puddy kernel: [12843.677837] [<c162df8b>] error_code+0x67/0x6c
Mar 4 12:55:06 puddy kernel: [12843.780600] [<c162df8b>] error_code+0x67/0x6c
Mar 4 12:55:07 puddy kernel: [12870.793433] [<c162df8b>] error_code+0x67/0x6c
Mar 4 12:55:07 puddy kernel: [12870.901120] [<c162df8b>] error_code+0x67/0x6c
and I cant seem to figure out what caused these error messages, are there any other places I should be looking for error messages ? Or do anyone here have som experience with these ?

The server is a frontend server for a backend storage server, connected through iSCSI. Both the frontend and backend servers are running ubuntu server 13.10.

The server is a HP DL360 G6, 8CPU, 12GB RAM.
And we have a replicated server (same config) that does not crash during these tests.

I'm at my wits end, could someone help please ?

Thanks in advance,
zingoto

There should be messages leading up to and after the one you posted and without those there's really nothing to say. For debugging see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Debugging and more specifically https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelOops .
