SENDMAIL how to change the DAEMON to your email server.


Hi guys,

everytime i received an email came from :daemon [daemon@example.com]

how to change the DAEMON to my name example admin@example.com? thanks

I can tell for postfix (I bet concept would be the same) create alias for daemon poiting to admin. This will solve you issue.

I am not so good with sendmail but you might try this one

# vi /etc/aliases
daemon    :    admin
restart your sendmail server
