I'm sorry to answer now, but I was not in the office.

I do not have the file smtpd.conf, but I have in the old server (running correctly) under /usr/lib/sasl2 the Sendmail.conf

in the new server I have the same file under /etc/sasl2

Its content is:
pwcheck_method:saslauthd

I think I have found the issue:
when the email is sent from an address other than 127.0.0.1 : authorization is required even if ip is on the same machine.

How can I avoid to make request authorization for a given ip ?

You should add the IP you want to allow relay without authentication in /etc/mail/relay-domains
Then restart sendmail
