Sending System Mail from Root to a Exchange Server
Hello,
I have the following problem and cant realy set it up properly.
We have a Linux mail relay running in our Network. The Relay takes the e-mail from our e-mail provider and delivers it to the Exchange server. To achive this we set up "fetchmail". This so far works perfectly.
Now to my problem:
I want to send the systemlogs to the Systemadministrator(administrator@ourNet.org). Do i have to install something like "sendmail" for it to work or is there some way to get around without having to set up a Mailserver?
As stated above i only wanna send a logfile towarde him and only inside the local net. No external e-mail shall be send with the mail relay. Compressing or converting the logfiles into a different file format wouldnt be a problem either if it saves me the trouple setting up a mail server (its more security reasons why i dont wanna do that)
