Script for commiting and fetching tagged code in Subversion

I'm in need of scripts to commit and fetch (i.e. check out or switch to) tagged versions of code in our subversion repo.

Our code is organized such as /path/to/module1 and /path/to/module2 and so forth, and we'll be tagging each of them separately. So in other words, we're not tagging the whole repo, just the individual modules.

I'd like the scripts to have as many as possible of the following properties:
1) The tagging script should ensure that we follow a naming convention
2) When creating a tagged version of a module, the script should make sure that we've not already created a tag under the same name
3) The checkout/switch script should provide the name of the latest tag for that module, and encourage the user to check out that version.

If anyone posesses such a script and would be willing to share I'd greatly appreciate it.
