SAMBA - Ubuntu 10.04 & Windows 7. Can't see share - tried everything.

Hi,

Been fighting this all day...

I'm trying to connect to a share on Ubuntu 10:04. I have changed the registry on Windows to allow NTLMv1, and played with the .conf file. I think there may be a password problem.

Code:
[global]

	netbios name = mediaserver
	workgroup = IVYPLACENET
	security = user
	encrypt passwords = yes
	username map = /etc/samba/smbusers
	pam password change = yes
	passdb backend = tdbsam
	obey pam restrictions = yes
	unix password sync = yes

[mediaserver]

	comment = COMMENT
	path = /home/jez
	available = yes
	valid users = jez
	read only = no
	browsable = yes
	public = yes
	writable = yes
I have now turned off my firewall, and am getting this message in Windows;
Code:
The account is not authorized to log in from this station.
Not sure what this means...

I just want this to work... Not too concerned about levels of sophistication. Also, I am a total amateur, so please keep it very simple.

Many thanks,

Jez

Doh! Firewall....

Please ignore...

Although, if you use ZoneAlarm, this may be useful... You need to add your server as a trusted site.
