samba - identify user activities

Hi!!

Searching on Google a only found a very old post.

I would like to be able to identify what users do when using the samba shares. Particularly I would like to be able to know who deleted a file.

Any help?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Augusto

You can try setting the log level in the global section up to its highest value (10). I don't know if that will provide the info you're looking for, but it will provide as much info as Samba can generate. The Samba folks don't recommend this because of the amount of info it will produce.

Hi!

Thanks, the info from the link works fine :-D

I found today a post in a ubuntu web site from Brazilian users about full_audit and recycle. It is in Portuguese, but I believe that at least the configuration and option can be understood if anyone search for it n the forum.

regards,

Augusto
