run apple software on a fedora linux machine?

Hi,

I want to run apple compressor on a fedora linux machine because we need a big cluster. To buy 10 x-servers is too expensive :-)

Is this possible?

Thx Jos

Can you give us more details please - with the amount of info you have provided, it is difficult to help you.

What is Apple Compressor? What is it supposed to do? Perhaps there is a Linux alternative.

Is it graphical or command-line?

Is it open-source? Like I said, there may be a Linux alternative.
