Question rsync user last logged IN details


I installed Rsync server in Linux machine and its working fine, user can logged IN and upload their data,
what I want to know is "Last logIN time when a user logged in through rsync to my server"

Please help me, with this I can make my Rsync user login usage update.

Hi,

Will it not show if you type last?

rsync uses ssh so it should show up as a user login onto the server.

I can't test this right now though. Let me know if it works.

Please tell us what kind of Linux distribution you are using. The logs may be in different places. You could check /var/log/auth.log.

You may also look at logging the server side of rsync using: --log-file=FILE

This may be more useful, as it would be rsync specific and not just show ssh based auth attempts.
