Exclamation root/user logon problem by making changes in "/etc/pam.d/system-auth"

I wanted to put a limit on logon attempts for a user.

http://kbase.redhat.com/faq/FAQ_44_4047.shtm

I input everything just the way it was listed and now no one can login, not even the root!

Can anyone help?

If no one can log in at all, your only choice is to boot from CD/DVD into rescue mode, or boot to single-user mode from the boot-menu. Then go into that file and remove the change(s) you made, then reboot clean.
