Question Root disk is full - virtual machine

Hi my root directory is full:
/dev/root 28G 28G 0 100% /
/dev/md1 861G 426G 392G 53% /home
/dev/md2 28G 330M 26G 2% /var
tmpfs 1007M 0 1007M 0% /dev/shm

My problem is with VirtualBox file...
When I log in my virtual machine - Windows XP there is 1 hdd c 130GB, 122GB is free
In /root/VirtualBox VMs/Snapshots there is file "{bslbfdsfd869-7dafakjdf...}.vdi" 23028M!?
How to minimize this?

Why my system on virtual is only 8GB, and /root/VirtualBox VMs ({bdfdt34463.....vdi}) is 23GB!?

How to clean it?

Try: 'du -mx|sort -n|tail' and you'll see where you have the usage and then can start cleaning.
