I am facing an issue regarding one of our Linux server, which restarts sudden without giving any error.I have checked the logfile (/var/log/messages) and coudn't find any error which will help me to figure out the cause of rebooting the server.
The server is running with RHEL5 os and is a desktop server.I think because of sudden restart it is not updating the log file.
How to filter errors from logfile?
Is there any other files apart from messages to chek?
