RHEl5 Add/Remove tool

Sir

I have installed RHEL5 . but i cant use add/remove tool . actually i cant add or remove packages using this tool as earliar version of rhel.

help me

The Add/Remove Software tool requires superuser privileges.

Are you running this with the correct privileges?

How, exactly, can you not add or remove packages? Are there any errors listed?

thanks for ur email.

whe i run add/remove program as root i found three tabs.

browse and search shows nothing in the list. and list tab shows installed softwares..

help me pls

Did you check if all was working ok manually with the command rpm or yum ? And if u have a repo database ? I already had this problem once and it was my repo that has a problem.
