Question RH AS 4 - Rebooting

Hello to all:

Re: RH AS 4
I am wondering how often this O/S should be re-booted, it at all. Have been automatically re-booting a previous version weekly just to 'keep it fresh'. Is there any advantage/dis-advantage to this practice? Thank you.

New to Linux,
John.

What do you mean by "keep it fresh"? Can't you use the regular deodorants like logrotate, service restart and such? If there's no need to change kernel or hardware and there are no irrecoverable failures then rebooting isn't necessary.
